How to locate a Die
Two options are available to locate dies, keyword search and category browse.
The keyword search allows users to search for all dies related to a term or phrase (such as dog or Christmas Tree)

  1. Enter your search term or phrase.
        There is no need for special punctuation (the system will automatically truncate -search terms).
        If multiple search terms are entered the system will assume a phrase search.
        Boolean searching is NOT supported at this time
  2. Click "Start Search" The category browse search allows users to view all dies in a single category, such as all Bookmarks or Extra Large dies.

To use the browse search simply select the category of die you would like to view and click "Get Dies"

Viewing a Die Record
When a Die matching your search is located a number of fields will be displayed. The fields currently displayed are Name of Die, Die Category, Image Link, and Holding Library. If you would like to view an image of the die before requesting click the "View Image" Link. Requesting a Die Once you have located a Die that you would like to request you'll need to send your formal request the owning library.

To do this:

  1. Click the "Send Request" button related to that particular die.
  2. The next screen will prompt you for three pieces of information - your library code, your name and your email address. You must complete all of these fields
  3. Click "Place Request"
  4. You will receive a tracking number (which will look like TR99-xxxxx). Keep track of this number as it is your record of the request.

Viewing the status of a request
Borrowing libraries can view the status of all outstanding requests by clicking the "Check/Update Request Status" link on main the search screen. This screen will list all items currently loaned to other libraries and all items that other participating libraries have borrowed.

Marking an item received
When a requested item arrives at your library it should be marked as "Received". To mark the item as received:

  1. Click the "Check/Update Request Status" link on main the search screen.
  2. Click the "View items requested (but not yet received) from other libraries" link
  3. Locate the item that you received in the list of requested items
  4. Make sure that the ITEM RECEIVED BOX is set to Received
  5. Click the "Update Record" button

Marking an item returned
When a borrowed item is returned to your library it should be marked as "Returned". To mark the item as returned:

  1. Click the "Check/Update Request Status" link on main the search screen.
  2. Click the "View items loaned to other libraries" link
  3. Locate the item that you have received in the list of loaned items
  4. Make sure that the ITEM STATUS BOX is set to Returned
  5. Click the "Update Record" button
